Sri Lanka participates in two international cultural festivals in Ankara

The Sri Lanka Embassy in Ankara participated in the “6th International Culture Day” at OSTIM Technical University and the “International Friendship Day” at Hacettepe University on 7 May and 14 May, respectively.

These lively festivals, hosted by the two universities, attracted a diverse audience, including Embassy representatives, academics, and over 1,000 students.

The Sri Lankan stalls at the two festivals acted as vibrant hubs of cultural heritage, featuring various traditional Sri Lankan items that offered festival-goers a unique glimpse into the opportunities to experience Sri Lanka’s rich cultural traditions.

Those festivities also provided a good opportunity to share information about Sri Lanka, while attendees could experience Sri Lankan hospitality, taste Ceylon tea, as well as dress in traditional Sri Lankan attire.

Each festival, having had participation from 25 countries including Sri Lanka, provided an excellent platform to introduce Sri Lanka’s culture to a diverse audience.
