Sri Lanka and India film collaboration

Well-known Film Producer Dr. Arosha Fernando’s Universal Media Production Ltd. and his Senith Neathan Media Production Ltd. have come to an agreement with the leading Mumbai-based movie company, Snow Velvet Group of Companies, to make the long-awaited joint movie together between Sri Lanka and India.

For the final negotiations and to ink the agreement between the companies, Snow Velvet Group of Companies Managing Director Sweety Waliya who is also a film producer and film actress visited Sri Lanka and all the necessary arrangements has been finalised.

Walia is one of the most loved names in the Indian entertainment industry who has shot to fame as Pammi Aunty in Star Plus’s most liked show ‘Yeh Hain Mohabbatein’ and then entertained kids as well as the elder as Bubbles Bua in Life OK’s comedy show ‘Bahu Hamari Rajnikant’. She has done shows like ‘Jodha Akbar’ in Zee TV as Birbal’s wife, ‘Trideviyan’ and many more TV shows and movies with Sharman Joshi Babloo Bachelor. A few years ago she received an award from Prime Minister Mahinda Rajapaksa for her talents and contribution to the film industry.

Dr. Arosha has produced 17 films, five teledramas and two stage dramas, a total of 24 productions to his credit during the past eight years. “The new joint movie with Snow Velvet Group of Companies of India will be a turning point for us in Sri Lanka,” he added.
