Post-apocalyptic horror film ‘28 Years Later: The Bone Temple’ in Lankan cinemas

Post-apocalyptic horror film ‘28 Years Later: The Bone Temple’ will be screened in seven cinemas in Sri Lanka from today.

They are Kandy City Centre, Scope Cinemas – Colombo City Centre, Scope Cinemas – Havelock City Mall, PVR Cinema, Ram Cinema, Lite Cinemas, and Regal Cinemas.

Directed by Nia DaCosta and written by Alex Garland, the film was shot back-to-back with its predecessor 28 Years Later (2025), and serves as the fourth instalment overall in the 28 Days Later film series. The film stars Ralph Fiennes, Jack O’Connell, Alfie Williams, Erin Kellyman, and Chi Lewis-Parry.

Taking place after the events of the previous film, Spike is inducted into Sir Jimmy Crystal’s gang of acrobatic killers in a post-apocalyptic Britain ravaged by the Rage Virus. Meanwhile, Dr. Ian Kelson forms a new relationship with potentially world-changing consequences.
