Hope Out Loud 2025: A benefit concert

Good Loud Media, a US-based non-profit record label, partners with Indira Cancer Trust (ICT) for Hope Out Loud 2025, to stage a benefit concert on Saturday 31 May at the Women’s International Club, No. 26 Guildford Crescent, Colombo 07 from 5 p.m. onwards.

The concert will feature an array of Sri Lankan musical talent, including Whirlwind, Stigmata, Genocide Shrines, Trishira, Shehara, Kavin Harshana, Ashen Sandaru, Uvindu, Nabeel, and Dillon Manuel of The Slipping Chairs.

“Cancer impacts every community,” Good Loud Media President Jed Brewer said. “Using music to raise both funds and awareness for the life-changing work of Indira Cancer Trust is a perfect example of how art can bring hope and healing to the world.”

Adding that, “These are uncertain and difficult times. But one thing is certain: children who are suffering deserve our help, and every cent, dollar, or rupee makes a real difference. Every artist on this line-up is someone I personally admire. If you love music, you will love this event.”

Hope Out Loud 2025 Creative Director and Frontman of Whirlwind Misha Wickramanayake sharing the inspiration behind the concert noted, “Good Loud Media has worked with many Sri Lankan artists over the past few years, and it felt like the right time to host our own event. That’s how Hope Out Loud was born — and now it’s grown into something even bigger. By teaming up with Indira Cancer Trust, we’re using our platform to make a real impact. As artists, we often have fewer opportunities to directly give back to the community. This concert is our way of rallying together for hope and standing with the children who are fighting cancer every day. While ICT does tremendous work, we want to support them however we can.”

Tickets for the concert will be available at the door and is priced at Rs. 3,500.
