Computer-animated musical comedy film ‘Sing 2’ in 7 Lankan cinemas

American computer-animated musical comedy film Sing 2 is being shown in seven cinemas in Sri Lanka.

The cinemas are Liberty by Scope Cinemas, PVR Colombo 2, Milano 2 – Kegalle, Scope Cinemas (CCC) – Colombo 2, Kandy City Center – Kandy, Maxx Lite – Moratuwa and Vista Lite – Ja-Ela.

Sing 2 is produced by Illumination and distributed by Universal Pictures. The sequel to the 2016 film Sing, the film was written and directed by Garth Jennings, co-directed by Christophe Lourdelet, and stars Matthew McConaughey, Reese Witherspoon, Scarlett Johansson, Taron Egerton, Tori Kelly, Nick Kroll, Jennings, Peter Serafinowicz, Jennifer Saunders, and Nick Offerman, reprising their roles from the first film. 

The sequel also features new characters voiced by Bobby Cannavale, Pharrell Williams, Halsey, Chelsea Peretti, Letitia Wright, Eric André, Adam Buxton, and Bono. Like the previous film, Sing 2 features songs from many artists, most of which are performed diegetically.

Can-do koala Buster Moon and his all-star cast of animal performers prepare to launch a dazzling stage extravaganza in the glittering entertainment capital of the world. There's just one hitch – he has to find and persuade the world's most reclusive rock star to join them. What begins as Buster's dream of big-time success soon becomes an emotional reminder of the power of music to heal even the most broken heart.
