Indian renewable energy delegation engages in 3-day visit to Sri Lanka

Power and Energy Minister Kanchana Wijesekera yesterday announced that a delegation from renewable energy companies affiliated with the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) visited the Ministry yesterday. 

The visit is part of a three-day program organised by the New and Renewable Energy Ministry of the Government of India and CII, focusing on strengthening cooperation in renewable energy between India and Sri Lanka.

“Renewable energy policy and plans of Sri Lanka, ongoing projects, electricity sector reforms, investment opportunities, legal framework, offshore wind development, green hydrogen roadmap and interconnectivity was briefed and discussed at the meeting,” the Minister noted via ‘X’.

Representatives from ACME, ReNew, Adani Green Energy, PTC India, Jackson Group, Welspun New Energy, Sterlite Power, Nucleus Consulting and Gamification, Shakthi Pumps Limited, Suzlon Group, CII and the Indian High Commission in Sri Lanka were present at the meeting.
