Zahira College holds Colours Night

Zahira College Colombo held its Colours Night at the College Ghaffoor Hall recently under the patronage of Principal Trizviiy Marikkar.

Chief Guest Consulate of Georgia Consular General Dian Gomes presented awards and certificates to the sportsmen.

Students were honoured for achievements in various fields of sports – athletics, basketball, boxing, cricket, football, hockey, rugger, chess, karate, shooting, cadetting, swimming and scouting.

M.N.M. Shamaaz received the Most Outstanding Sportsman of the Year 2019/2020 award in the field of cricket and Farhath Farook who represented Sri Lanka at the 24th World Scout Jamboree held at West Virginia USA year 2019 received awards from Chief Guest Dian Gomes.

Principal Trizviiy Marikkar presented a memento to the Chief Guest at this ceremony.

Board of Governors Chairman Fouzul Hameed, Old Boys Association President Alavi Mukthar, Secretary Nuzri Munsoor, Board of Governors Sports Council Chairman Naina Mohamed, Consultant Prefect of Games M.Z. Farook, Deputy Principal Razeen Azaan, Vice Principals A.M. Mihilar, Hijazy Mohideen, teachers, old boys, parents and students were present at this colourful event.
