The 65th anniversary program will begin with an overnight pirith chanting on 23 July, followed by a sanghika dana to 100 members of the Maha Sangha on 24 July. These events are being organised with the support of the alumni association, industry partners, staff, and students.
Management education at the university began in 1959/60 under the leadership of Rev. The FMSC serves more than 5,300 internal and 13,500 external students. The academic staff includes 192 lecturers, 55 of whom are professors and 89 holding PhDs. The Faculty offers undergraduate and postgraduate degree programs, as well as extension courses.
The Faculty has partnerships with 40 companies to provide internships and industry exposure. It also conducts research through five centres and publishes two journals and hosts two international conferences annually.
All 12 of its degree programs have received ‘A’ grades in national quality assurance reviews.
