Carey College OBU President Mervyn Ponniah
Carey College Old Boys’ Union President Mervyn recently outlined the Old Boys’ Union’s vision to transform the College through several landmark initiatives, including the modernisation of the school hall into a state-of-the-art auditorium, the construction of a swimming pool, and the acquisition of a school bus to support the expanding needs of the College.
Speaking at the opening of the OBU-facilitated Carey Lounge, Ponniah announced four major strategic projects aimed at elevating its infrastructure: *The Carey College Auditorium – A transformation of the Existing Hall; The Swimming Pool – A new State of the art Swimming Pool; The Carey College AC Bus – An upgrade to existing facility and The Lighting of the Carey Basketball Arena - An upgrade to existing facility.
He called upon Careyites around the world to renew their bond with their alma mater, reminding them that every contribution, regardless of its size, is an investment in the future of over 1,250 students. He said that by working together with a shared sense of pride and belonging, Carey College can continue its journey of growth and become an institution that every Careyite will be proud to call their own.
