Sri Lanka Telecom and Mobitel sponsors of Ridee Reyak 11

Sri Lanka Telecom (SLT), the national telecommunication service provider, together with Sri Lanka Telecom Mobitel is proud to announce their role as the sponsors of Ridee Reyak 11, which has succeeded in dazzling Sri Lanka for the past 10 years. This year, ‘Sri Lanka Telecom Ridee Reyak’ will take place at the Bandaranaike Memorial International Conference Hall (BMICH) on Saturday, 21 December 2013. It will be telecast on Rupavahini on the night of 31 December 2013.
This is the 11th consecutive year that Ridee Reyak is being organised by Cinestar Foundation in order to raise funds for a medical scheme for local cinema artistes, who are members of the Cinestar Foundation. As a responsible corporate citizen who is serious and committed about giving back to society in every way possible, over the years, SLT has undertaken to fulfil its responsibility to society not only through its role as the national telecommunication service provider and national backbone network provider, but also through empowering individuals and business organisations to excel and perform their as well as supporting worthy causes. Therefore, the company came forward once again this year together with Mobitel, to sponsor this renowned and much looked forward to event in an effort to empower local performing arts and culture and to support the uplifting of Sri Lanka’s local talent in order to provide support and uplift these artistes. SLT Ridee Reyak 11 will feature performances by popular local film stars, both young and old, including Malini Fonseka, Ravindra Randeniya, Roy De Silva, Sriyani Amarasena, Rex Koddippili, Veena Jayakody, Cleetus Mendis, Geetha Kumarasinghe, Jeewan Kumaratunga, Sabeetha Perera, Sangeetha Weerarathne , Shriyantha Mendis, Dilhani Ashokamal and Tenyson Cooray among others.
