Keeping in line with its CSR initiatives, Seylan Bank made a contribution of Rs. 1 million towards the ‘Nena Guna Thilina’ Presidential book project, the laudable concept being the brainchild of President Mahinda Rajapaksa and organised by the Presidential Secretariat under the guidance of Secretary to the President Lalith Weeratunga.

The book project envisages distributing books to a significant percentage of the 9,600 rural schools in the country facing a severe dearth of textbooks. Reportedly, the endeavour has been immensely appreciated by the students as well as their teachers.
