Committed to making a positive contribution to local communities, OZO Colombo recently embarked on its ‘Dream Come True Christmas Tree’ initiative that aims to provide meals and treats to underprivileged children. This is in collaboration with the hotel’s internal and external stakeholders, including business partners, suppliers, guests and team members. Also, proceeds from the Christmas cards that were sold at the hotel during the festive season were used to support with meals and other essentials for children at Yashodhararamaya Orphanage in Ratmalana. OZO Colombo team members spent a day with the kids at the orphanage, commencing with a religious ceremony followed by a special lunch, entertainment and lots of fun activities to add more light to this initiative. “Our CSR strategy is more focused on imminent and important social issues. We shall endeavour to contribute, support and help to provide for those who most need a great place to live, learn and grow,” said OZO Hotels in Sri Lanka Area General Manager Alexandre Glauser. The ‘Dream Come True’ community initiative was designed by ONYX Hospitality Group and incepted in 2010 in Thailand to support needy communities. Today, the initiative is adopted by all the properties managed by ONYX around the world. Dream Come True has uplifted the lives of thousands of children through numerous projects.
