Terumo and Hemas donate hypodermic syringes to Lady Ridgeway Hospital, to commemorate 30 years of partnership in Sri Lanka

Terumo Corporation and its exclusive distributor Hemas Surgicals & Diagnostics Ltd. are commemorating Terumo’s 30 years in Sri Lanka by donating hypodermic syringes to the Lady Ridgeway Hospital for Children, as a first step of a series of donations planned for hospitals across the island. The donation is part of Hemas’ commitment towards making healthy living accessible to communities across Sri Lanka.

Hemas believes that every family deserves a better tomorrow and is committed to providing healthcare products and services to all areas of Sri Lanka without any inequalities. The company’s partnership with Terumo allows them to fulfil their social responsibility to the general public through their own products and services.

Hemas Surgicals & Diagnostics Managing Director Jude Fernando added: “As Hemas celebrates its 30th anniversary as exclusive distributor for Terumo Corporation Japan, we are proud to mark this milestone by making as series of donations to hospitals in Sri Lanka, in collaboration with Terumo. In addition to making a positive impact on the healthcare industry in Sri Lanka, we are also hopeful that this initiative will be well received by everyone who are facing a medicine shortage at present. We extend our sincere gratitude to Terumo Singapore Ltd. for generously providing the hypodermic syringes for these donations, which will support patients across the country.”
