Ninewells Hospital provides relief to people standing in queues to buy essentials

The staff of Ninewells Hospital took steps to distribute refreshments to Sri Lankans standing in queues at gas distribution points close to the hospital. Staff members have been stepping out daily to provide some much-needed relief to people who stand out in the sun for hours on end amid the current economic crisis where daily essentials including gas are in short supply. 

The runs took place within a 15-kilometre radius of the hospital and nearly 300 packs of snacks and beverages are distributed daily.
