Employee engagement by Pan Asia Bank’s Team HR celebrates unity amidst diversity

As the Truly Sri Lankan Bank, Pan Asia Bank’s dynamic Human Resource (HR) team organizes various activities that engage, entertain and educate the staff while celebrating the nation’s rich heritage. During the year, the Team HR arranged a host of fun-filled, meaningful events that witnessed whole-hearted participation from the Pan Asia Bank family. 

Some of the events included Avurudu Kumara/Kumariya, Healthy Food Day, Herbal Drinks Day, Ice Cream Day, Indian Attire Theme Day to celebrate Thaipongal, Poson Bakthi Gee, Valentine Prince and Princess, Vesak Card Competition and Vesak Lantern Competition.

Crowning the Avurudu Kumari and Avurudu Kumara 2023 during the Sinhala and Tamil New Year was one of the key activities amongst employees and witnessed a high level of participation, with employees actively voting to select winners on a digital platform to crown their favourites as part of the celebrations organised by Team HR. Furthermore, the entire staff came to work in traditional attire on the auspicious day to celebrate Sinhala and Tamil New Year just as they did to celebrate Thaipongal on Indian Attire Theme Day, which saw staff attired in a profusion of bright colours. The festival of Vesak too was celebrated with gusto - with a lantern competition and a card competition to bring out creativity amongst employees. Furthermore, instilling a healthy lifestyle amongst staff and promoting healthy nutrition, Healthy Food Day and Herbal Drinks Day were organised to communicate the benefits of a balanced diet and the healing power of ancient herbs.
