CIC Holdings rewards employees’ children with 100 education scholarships

CIC Holdings PLC recently awarded 100 education scholarships to children of employees who had excelled in the academic field during the last three years through the CIC Charitable and Education Trust Fund.

As part of the company’s Social Responsibility Initiatives, CIC Holdings recognised and rewarded children of employees who obtained three ‘A’ s at the  G.C.E. (Advanced Level), nine ‘A’ s at the G.C.E. (Ordinary Level) and also for students who had excelled at the Grade Five Scholarship examination. In addition, employees' children who had gained entrance to a State University were also recognised and rewarded.

The Scholarship Award ceremonies were held in Colombo, Hingurakgoda, Negombo and Dompe respectively.

57 students received scholarships in the Grade five category, 24 students received scholarships in the G.C.E. (Ordinary Level) category and six students received scholarships in the G.C.E. (Advanced Level) category. In addition, 13 students were rewarded for obtaining entrance to a State University.
