Tilak joins Eastern Merchants Board

Top business leader Tilak de Zoysa has been appointed to the Board of Directors of Eastern Merchants Plc with effect from 22 August.

de Zoysa is presently the President of AMW Group and Chairman of Carson Cumberbatch Plc. He also serves on the Boards of John Keells Plc, Lanka Walltiles Plc, Nawaloka Hospitals Plc, Taj Lanka Hotels Plc, Taj Hotels and Resorts Ltd., Employers Federation of Ceylon, Dutch Lanka Trailer Manufacturers Ltd., CEAT Group of Companies as Vice Chairman and Orient Insurance Ltd as Vice Chairman.

Following the new appointment, the Board of Directors of Eastern Merchants Plc comprises J.B.L. De Silva (Chairman), Anil Karunaratne (Managing Director), N.K.L. Tilakaratna, C.I. Tilakaratna, S. Jayakody, S.A. Chandraratne, Harin J de Silva, Rohini Nanayakkara, H.P.J de Silva, Channa S.L. de Silva, Indika P de Zoysa and Tilak de Zoysa.
