Tea Smallholder Factories PBT increases 24% to Rs. 112.2 m

Tea Smallholder Factories PLC released its interim results for the fourth quarter and 12 months ended 31 March 2014. For the financial year 2013/14, profit before tax (PBT) was Rs. 112.2 million, this being a 24% increase over the PBT of Rs. 90.8 million recorded in the previous financial year. The profit attributable to the equity holders of Rs. 81.5 million was a 3% decrease over the Rs. 84.1 million reported in the previous financial year. Revenue was Rs. 2.68 billion, this being an increase of 10% over the revenue of Rs.2.43 billion recorded in the previous financial year.
