Glen Alpin Estate achieves all time record price Glen Alpin Estate situated in Badulla achieved an all time record price of Rs. 660 per kilogram for a liquoring FF1 grade at this week’s tea auction surpassing the previous record of Rs. 650 which was recorded last month. This line of tea was purchased by Stassen Exports while John Keells PLC was the selling broker for the produce. Glen Alpin estate is managed by Balangoda Plantations PLC. Demodera Estate sets all time record price Demodera Estate situated in the Badulla district achieved an all time record price of Rs. 1000 per kilogram for a liquoring BOP1 grade at this week’s tea auction. This price surpassed the previous record of Rs. 960 which was established back in 2008. This line of tea was purchased by Tea Tang, while John Keells PLC were the sole brokers for the produce of this estate. Demodera estate comes under the purview of Finlays Tea Estates Lanka Ltd. All time record price for Sarnia Estate Sarnia Estate situated in the Badulla district achieved an all time record price of Rs. 960 per kilogram for a liquoring FBOP1 grade at this week’s tea auction. This price surpassed the previous record of Rs. 900 which was established in 2012. This line of tea was purchased by Basilur Teas and John Keells PLC was the selling broker for the produce. Sarnia Estate is managed by Malwatte Valley Plantations PLC. All time record price for Hingalgoda Tea Factory Hingalgoda Tea Factory situated in Hiniduma, Galle, established an all time record price for a Low Grown CTC PF1 grade with two of its invoices selling at Rs. 660 per kilogram at the weekly tea auctions on 9 October, 2013. The two invoices were purchased by UK Beverages and Ranfer Teas. Hingalgoda Tea Factory is managed by Tea Small Holder Factories PLC and the sale was conducted by tea broker John Keells PLC.
