Tax free concessions for gem and jewellery exports to China

Exports of gem and jewellery from Sri Lanka to China are subjected to heavy taxes duty at the receiving end in China, which has become a major obstacle for Sri Lanka to remain competitive in the export market. In order to seek redress to this situation National Gem and Jewellery Authority Chairman and the Chief Executive Prasad Galhena met the China Ambassador to Sri Lanka Wu Fianghao.
