Kenilworth Estate, situated in Ginigathhena, established an all time record price at the weekly tea auctions held on 30 July 2013 by securing an attractive price of Rs. 630 for a liquoring OP grade. This price surpassed the previous record of Rs. 600 which was established by the same estate in April this year. This line of tea was purchased by M/s Basilur Tea Exports Ltd. Kenilworth is renowned for high quality pure orthodox teas possessing delicate liquoring characteristics.
