Public lecture today by Dr. Tom G. Palmer on ethical wealth creation

A public lecture will be conducted by Dr. Tom G. Palmer at 10.30 a.m. today at the Sri Sambuddhathva Jayanthi Auditorium at Thunmulla Junction. Born in Germany, Palmer earned his B.A. in liberal arts from St. John’s College, his M.A. in philosophy from the Catholic University of America, and his doctorate in political science from Oxford University, where he was an H.B. Earhart Fellow at Hertford College. Currently he is the Vice President for International Programs at the Atlas Network. The session will be moderated by the Executive Director of the Pathfinder Foundation Lakshman Siriwardhane and the lecture, targeting the private sector, is aimed at promoting economic literacy and is organised by the newly created Sri Lanka Bastiat Society and will be its first public lecture. The highly acclaimed book by Dr. Palmer, ‘The Morality of Capitalism: What Your Professors Won’t Tell You’ will be available free of charge to all participants.
