Professional Met Consultancy Services Ltd. was awarded the prestigious Sri Lanka National Best Energy Services Company Award 2013 and became the consecutive winner of the Award for the years 2011, 2012 and 2013 at the Sri Lanka National Energy Efficiency Award Ceremony conducted by Sri Lanka Sustainable Energy Authority at the BMICH.

Professional Met Consultancy Services Ltd., established in 1996, has been engaged in serving the business community in the industrial sector with practical solutions on management, environment, technology of energy conservation (thermal and electrical), water management and pollution control (water/effluence/sewage treatment, air and noise). Being registered in the Sustainable Energy Authority under the Ministry of Environmental and Natural Resources, the company is actively engaged in undertaking energy and environmental turnkey projects. This comprises supply, installation and commissioning of all types of bio-mass (wood logs, sawdust, paddy husk) fired steam boilers, thermic fluid heaters, hot water generators, co-generation plants and conversion of oil fired boilers to bio-mass fired systems and supply, installation and commissioning of treatment plants and allied equipment for sewerage, effluence, waste water, raw water etc. for the past many years. The country saves about Rs. 2.5 billion worth of foreign exchange per year by fuel switching projects implemented by the company (furnace oil/diesel to bio-mass) during the period of 2008-2013. The company has principals in India, Singapore, Germany, Korea and other countries who have wide experience in the field of energy and environment. In addition to the in-house group of qualified experts, it has island wide sub-contractors, professionals and support groups handling a variety of specialised jobs and activities creating a formidable force in engineering, construction and technology under the direction and management of the founder of the company - Chairman/Managing Director M.A. Justin who is highly qualified and experienced senior chartered engineer engaged in energy saving activities for many years. He has been the former President of Sri Lanka Energy Managers Association for two consecutive years in the past and also the former General Manager of National Paper Co. Ltd. which won productivity awards for creditable performance for two consecutive years there too during his tenure. The company has a mechanical erection team of skilled technicians capable of carrying out any form of fabrication and erection work and also have a qualified electrical crew who can handle any type of electrical installation work including power factor correction, energy audit etc. The expansion of the company with rapid progress coupled with the increased successful multiple operations paved the way to the birth of three sister companies namely International Techno Marketing Services Ltd. and Professional Eco Care Ltd., and the Institute of Industrial Techno-Management Ltd., in quick succession to manage specific functions in the promotion and saving of energy and protection of the environment.
