Maninda appointed Acting Chairman at Chemanex

Independent Non Executive Director Maninda Wickramasinghe has been appointed as the Acting Chairman at Chemanex Plc with effect from 1 January 2014.

The move follows B.R.L. Fernando relinquishing his position as Chairman following his retirement with effect from 31 December 2013. Maninda was appointed to Chemanex board in October 2010. He is currently the Country Head and CEO of Fitch Ratings Lanka Ltd. Prior to that he was Senior Consultant with Ernst & Young, and Group MD/CEO at First Capital. The new Board of Directors of Chemanex Plc comprises M.D. Wickramasinghe (Acting Chairman), A. Mapalgama (Managing Director and CEO), A.V.P. Silva, D. Chandrasekera, S.P.S. Ranatunga and Prof. U.P. Liyanage.
