A pioneer and leader in the aluminium extrusion industry in Sri Lanka, Lanka Aluminium Industries launched their new sliding window system ‘Lux range’ 27 mm and 22 mm recently. This new system is superior to the sliding windows which are being manufactured in the country.

The uniqueness in this novel design is that it requires just three profiles, to make a two sash sliding window, as opposed to the traditional sliding window that uses seven different profiles.

Also, the designing has been done keeping in mind the growing demand for aesthetic products with a variety of finishes which makes this system different from others that are available in the market.

In addition, this system offers ease of fabrication, inhibits water ingress, saves energy and manufacturing time.

Lanka Aluminium Industries Managing Director Dinal Peries stated “Sliding window designs manufactured locally are over three decades old.”

He expects the new ‘Lux range’ sliding windows to pivot the industry to another level in keeping with the current developments that has taken place globally.

“The new technology introduced for the aluminium sliding window, will no doubt boost the local manufacturing industry in keeping with the new vision of Sri Lanka,” he added.

Workshops and demonstrations are being held throughout the country educating the aluminium fabricators of this breakthrough system and its benefits.

These workshops commenced in Trincomalee have already spread its wings to Kurunegala as well.

The ‘Lux range’ sliding window profiles are available in natural anodised, powder coated, satin and antique finishes and is available at Lanka Aluminium Showrooms in Colombo, Maharagama, Malabe, Kurunegala, Seeduwa and at the factory in Ekala, Ja-ela.
