KPMG in Sri Lanka was ranked among the ‘Most Respected’ entities in the country for 2015, in the 11th edition of LMD’s rankings published by Media Services.

The survey which was commissioned and conceptualised by LMD and conducted by Nielsen, captures the opinions of 800 working people from among the LMD 100 companies and other leading corporations in Sri Lanka.

Commenting on this achievement, KPMG in Sri Lanka Managing Partner Reyaz Mihular stated: “It is a great honour. The respect, value and esteem with which our stakeholders hold us is our brand equity. In my opinion, the bigger the share capital, the stronger the company. So to me being ranked amongst the Most Respected entities in Sri Lanka is my equity – my form of capitalisation is respect.”

KPMG, which was also ranked first in the LMD Auditors League for the ninth consecutive year, auditing 41 of the LMD 100 companies in the financial year 2013/2014, is governed by a strong value system which is built on the pillars of integrity, honesty, professionalism, transparency, ethics, accountability, diligence and sound governance.

KPMG is one of the largest professional services firms in Sri Lanka and is also the oldest Chartered Accountancy Firm in the country, counting a history spanning over a century since its inception in 1897. The firm presently has a resource base comprising 14 partners, two principals and over 1,000 professionals and associates.
