Keells Food Products bags CNCI Achiever Awards

Keells Food Products (KFP) was recognised at the recently concluded CNCI Achiever Awards held at the Cinnamon Grand Colombo and organised by the Ceylon National Chamber of Industries. KFP was awarded the CNCI Merit Award in the Extra Large Manufacturing Sector, National Level and the CNCI Top Ten Award in the Extra Large Category. Keells Food Products manufactures a range of processed meats and crumbed products under the much-loved brands, Keells, Elephant House Sausages and Krest. The Ceylon National Chamber of Industries has been organising the CNCI Achiever Awards for the past 12 years in order to recognise and reward local entities for industrial and service excellence. This year’s applicants were evaluated on criteria such as Net Sales Revenue, Value Addition, Research and Development, Quality Assurance and Certification, and Environmental and Social Responsibility. Subsequent to the evaluation a distinguished panel headed by University of Moratuwa Vice Chancellor Prof. Eng. Ananda Jayawardena and other top officials from a number of local industries as well as officials of the Sri Lanka Standard Institution/Sri Lanka Accreditation Board, Sri Lanka Consumer Affairs Authority, and the Central Environmental Authority made the final selection. Speaking about the achievement Keells Food Products CEO Nishantha Jayasooriya said, “The CNCI Awards recognise local companies that have excelled in furthering their chosen industries.
