ICASL to educate public on Economic Service Charge, Nation Building Tax

In its continuing drive to educate the public on the country’s taxation system, the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Sri Lanka (ICASL) has organised a Discussion on Economic Service Charge and Nation Building Tax.

The discussion will be held on Friday, 13th May 2011 from 4.00 pm to 6.00 pm at the Institute’s Auditorium, Colombo 7 and is a follow up to last month’s seminar on Recent Amendments to Income Tax and VAT. Friday’s discussion will feature experts in the subject in the likes of Deputy Commissioner Mr. M. Ganesharajah and Deputy Commissioner Mr. D. M. Jude Devapriya from the Department of Inland Revenue.

The panelists at the discussion will be Commissioner Mr. J. P. D. R. Jayasekara and Senior Commissioner Mr. A. L. A. Sirisena from the Department of Inland Revenue.

The investment for this two hour long edifying discussion will be Rs. 500/-.
