HNB opens 204th customer centre in Valachchenai

The Hatton National Bank opened its 204th Customer Centre at Valachchenai — the 16th HNB Customer Centre in the Eastern Province — recently, The Chief Guest at this occasion was, Deputy General Manager (Network Management) of Hatton National Bank Crysanthi Thambiah.

Assistant General Manager (Legal), Thushari Ranaweera; Senior Manager Eastern Region, A. V. Beadle and Senior Manager (Legal), Niroshini Wettasinghe represented the bank. A large number of senior bank officials, government officials, local businessmen and customers were also present at this occasion.

Speaking on this occasion Crysanthi Thambiah said that HNB established the 1st Customer Centre in the Eastern Province 36 years ago in Trincomalee and has served the Eastern Region of the country over the years in both good times and bad times and also during the war and tsunami disasters. She further reiterated that HNB’s commitment to the Eastern Province has been ongoing by providing state-of-the-art banking facilities while engaging in a number of CSR activities such as providing safe drinking water in areas like Kokuvil, Vakarai and giving access to knowledge among school children by establishing school libraries in Kathiraveli and Palchchenai.
