At the recently concluded Tea Auctions of 10 December 2013, Hindagala Estate had the proud distinction of establishing an all-time record price of Rs. 700 for a BOPSP grade for the UVA medium elevation. This line of tea was purchased by Imperial Teas Ltd. Eastern Brokers Ltd. was the broker associated with the sale of Hindagala Estate teas.
