Grand felicitation for Carsons Chairman and Directors on recent international recognition

Carsons Management Services (Pvt) Limited recently felicitated the Chairman and two Directors of Carson Cumberbatch Group on the recent international recognition and accolades bestowed on them, at a corporate function held at Grand Ballroom, Hilton Colombo.

Chief Guest at the glittering felicitation was Dr. Koshi Mathai – IMF Resident Representative in Sri Lanka. Also present were top business leaders of the country, members of the diplomatic community and well wishers.

Chairman of Carson Cumberbatch Plc Deshabandu Tilak de Zoysa was recently appointed as the Chairman of HelpAge International – UK with effect from March 2011. An industry leader, he is also Chairman of the Associated Motorways Group of Companies and holds numerous top positions.

Director of Carson Cumberbatch Plc Deshamanya Mano Selvanathan was recently bestowed with India’s ‘Pravasi Bharatiya Samman Award 2011’ by Indian President Pratibha Patil. As an industry leader and one with extensive business interests in Sri Lanka and India, Selvanathan has been instrumental in introducing Indian business to Sri Lanka.

Director of Carson Cumberbatch Group and Chairman, Management Committee of the Football Federation of Sri Lanka Manilal Fernando added yet another feather to his cap by recently being elected to the FIFA Executive Committee. He is also the Chairman of Holcim (Lanka) Ltd. and Director of many other corporates in Sri Lanka.

With this achievement, Fernando created history by becoming the only Sri Lankan and the first in South and Central Asia to secure a top office at FIFA. Chairman of Carsons Management Services (Private) Limited Hari Selvanathan said: “Carsons is embarking on a journey from being a regional company to a global company. These three men of stature with their international recognition have given us the impetus to achieve our target sooner.”
