Former Plan International Country Finance Manager joins FCCISL

S. W. Lakshman, a  veteran financial management professional who is with a wealth of experience in managing finances in many companies of high repute in Sri Lanka and overseas during his career spanning over 15 years, joined the Federation of Chambers of Commerce and Industry of Sri Lanka (FCCISL) recently to head its Finance Division.



Lakshman has rendered a commendable contribution towards analysing, planning, implementing and controlling financial management function and crafting strategies in stakeholder value creation to optimum level throughout his career.    

He was the former Country Finance Manager of the Plan International; Sri Lanka which is one of the leading UK based NGOs carrying out its child centered community and economic development activities in the country.

Starting the career as an Internal Audit Assistant at Asha Agencies Ltd in 1991, his skill, talent, dedication and commitment brought him up in the professional ladder offering him with senior management positions such as Deputy Finance Director – Sarvodaya Movement which is one of the oldest and reputed community development institutes of the country. Furthermore, he  is well experienced in managing finance of large overseas organisations being the chief financial officer of  such companies based in Maldives and Abu Dhabi; UAE.
