FCCISL plans Lankan delegation for Canton Fair

China Import and Export Fair, also renowned as the Canton Fair, held biannually in Guangzhou every April and October has been the forerunner in Chinese international trade fairs. The Canton Fair has been held uninterruptedly for 109 sessions. The Canton Fair is recognised as the largest exhibition in China with a gross exhibition space of over 1,160,000 sqm, 24,415 enterprises from home and abroad and 58,000 stands as well as over 207,103 professional buyers from 210 countries and areas.

The Fair, comprehensive in nature, has won its renown of “China’s No.1 Fair” for its longest history, the largest scale, and the most comprehensive in exhibition varieties, the highest buyer attendance and the greatest business turnover in China.

The International Pavilion of Canton Fair has been set up especially for international exhibitors since the 101st session.  Nine successful sessions have added up to the consensus that the International Pavilion of Canton Fair has become the best trade platform for international enterprises to expand market shares and enhance the reputation in China as well as worldwide. The International Pavilion of the 109th Canton Fair has yielded a successful outcome with 534 exhibitors from 53 countries and regions such as America, Spain, Germany, Italy, England, Brazil, Egypt, Pakistan and Sri Lanka, etc., attracting 91,651 professional buyers. The Federation of Chambers of Commerce and Industry of Sri Lanka (FCCISL), empowering Small and Medium Enterprises in Sri Lanka to demonstrate their competitiveness and enhance their national and global reach, with the intention of connecting local companies in the global markets. Through its International Affairs Division has embarked on organising a powerful delegation to the forthcoming China Import and Export Fair opening from 15 October. FCCISL is offering a limited number of stalls and accommodating a selected delegation for this prestigious event as a part of our commitment undertaken to promote Sri Lankan businesses in this international arena. This would provide Sri Lankan exporters/organisations with outstanding visibility for their products. Joining the FCCISL delegation in this multi cultured global event will further provide participants with the possibility to meet well known business personalities and obtain attractive business connections with most prominent and respected businesses.

Participation is only on registration due to limited availability of stalls, and registration has already commenced at the FCCISL.
