United Motors goes for share splitThe Board of Directors (BOD) of United Motors (UML) has resolved to increase the number of shares in the company via a sub division of every two existing issued ordinary shares into three ordinary shares. Consequent to the sub division, the current 67.3 million ordinary shares that have been issued will increase to 100.9 million shares while stated capital will remain unchanged (subject to shareholder approval). UML shares (Ex-Dividend) closed at Rs. 125, up by Rs. 3.50. M.A. Yaseen holds a 51.5% stake in UML whilst R.R. Yaseen holds a 11% stake along with Readywear Industries a further 9.7% and S.M. Chrysostom 7%. |
