E.C.D. Global’s Shantha Edirisinghe felicitated

With the US Embassy in Colombo commending E.C.D. Global Ltd. chauffer Shantha Edirisinghe for his committed services to US defence at the US Embassy over the past five years, a felicitation ceremony was organised by the management and staff of E.C.D. Global at the National Chamber of Commerce yesterday. In recognition of the exceptionally outstanding work, a memento was presented to Edirisinghe by the PACOM Augmentation Team of the US Embassy in Colombo.

E.C.D. Global Ltd. was formed in 1995 with the objective of providing travel and passenger transportation to clients both in the private and State sectors. The parent company of E.C.D. Global, which functioned previously under the name and style of E.C.D. Transporters Ltd., was formed way back in 1983 with humble beginnings. Emil F. Kronemberg is the founder Chairman/Managing Director of the company, under whose guidance and perseverance it has grown from strength to strength. At present it has a staff strength of 280 and caters to various multinational organisations and Government and Non-Governmental Organisations. Key events handled by E.C.D. Global include the Commonwealth Heads of Government Meeting 2013 (CHOGM), 58th Commonwealth Parliamentary Conference, Telecommunication Regulatory Commission’s Global Symposium for Regulators 2012, Cricket World Cup 2011, Bora Convention and SAARC Conference.
