Cargo Systems Investments Ltd (CSI), an affiliate of Famous Pacific Shipping Lanka Ltd, and Hi Tech Fly-Ash (India) Ltd, the owners of the first fly ash beneficiation plant in south India recently signed an agreement in Colombo.
Following the tie up, CSI Ltd will represent Hi Tech Fly Ash Pvt. Ltd as its exclusive dealer and hold an exclusive agency in the distribution and supply of Hitepozzo Fly Ash in Sri Lanka and Maldives.
CSI represents Lafarge of France, the largest cement producer in the world with a globally recognised brand confirming to international standards, in their business development and distribution of cement in Sri Lanka.
Since 2007, CSI has been one of the major suppliers of industrial material to the local market. Being well equipped with the facilities of a debagging plant, excellent warehousing storage of 10,000 sq feet and the ownership of a fleet of bowsers and prime mover trucks has enabled CSI to secure and supply Hitepozzo Fly Ash to major infrastructure projects in Sri Lanka such as Colombo South Port Project, Colombo Katunayake Expressway Project, Dickovita Fisheries Harbour Project etc. CSI holds a competitive advantage in the market as they have access to an island wide distribution network and guarantees an uninterrupted supply and timely delivery of the products to the customers.
Hi Tech Fly-Ash (India) Pvt. Ltd, an ISO 9001:2000 certified company by BVQI with accreditation to UKAS, UK. They produce quality assured classified fly ash in accordance to international standards such as ASTM C618, BSEN 450and BS 3892 and export to Middle East Asia, South Asia, South East Asia and Africa. They are well equipped with their internal testing process on quality and provide a Third Party Quality Certification report from internationally reputed Third Party Surveyors such as Lloyds and SGS etc. Hi Tech Fly Ash (India) Pvt Ltd. was awarded Best Industry Award in 2008. Fly Ash is a fine glass like powder recovered from gases created by coal fired electric power generation. When properly designed and constructed, the increased benefits of concretes made with 40%-60% fly ash replacement includes dramatically reduced concrete permeability and excellent resistance to all forms of premature deterioration.
Following the successful collaboration with Hi Tech Fly Ash (India) Pvt Ltd, CSI strategically plans to develop the retail market with 50 kg bags of Fly Ash.
