BPWSL holds economic, tourism conference

Economic Development Minister Basil Rajapaksa opened the International Conference on Economic Development and Eco-Tourism organised by the Business and Professional Women (BPW) in Colombo recently. The conference ended yesterday. Business and Professional Women Sri Lanka (BPWSL) is a non profit organisation, affiliated to BPW International. It strives to improve the status of women nationally and internationally and has been working towards the sustainable development and empowerment of women for the past 20 years in Sri Lanka. Economic development is the key to improving the status of the less privileged in our society, said BPW Sri Lanka president Janaki Gunawardena. President BPW International Freda Miriklis will award the certificates to the Ambassadors of change.
