Ajit, Seevaratnam join EB Creasy Board

Senior business leader Ajit de S. Jayaratne and top professional R. Seevaratnam have been appointed to the Board of E.B. Creasy & Company PLC with effect from 1 April.

Jayaratne is a former Chairman of Forbes and Walker Ltd., Colombo Stock Exchange, Ceylon Chamber of Commerce and The Finance Commission. He also served as Sri Lanka High Commissioner in Singapore. He is a Director of several listed and unlisted companies. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree and is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of England and Wales and of Sri Lanka. Seevaratnam is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants and Wales and of Sri Lanka. He holds a General Science Degree from the University of London. He was a former senior partner of KPMG and is a Director of several listed and unlisted companies. Seevaratnam has also been appointed as an Independent Non Executive Director to the Board of Lankem Ceylon PLC, a subsidiary of E.B. Creasy.

Gunawardena promoted

S.W. Gunawardena has been appointed to the Boards of E.B. Creasy and Company PLC, as an Executive Director and Laxapana Batteries PLC, as a Non Executive Director. Gunawardena joined EB Creasy in 2002. Prior to joining the company he had served in leading mercantile establishments in Sri Lanka and overseas. In 2008 he was appointed as a Senior Manager of the company and is currently the Head of the Home Care Division. In this position he has initiated many new businesses. He graduated from the University of Colombo in 1995 with a Bachelor of Science and holds a Masters in Business Administration from the Postgraduate Institute of Management, University of Sri Jayawardenapura.
