WindForce secures 50 MW Mullikulam Lot 1 wind power project

WindForce PLC said it has received the official Letter of Award from the Ceylon Electricity Board for Lot 1 of the 50 MW Mullikulam Wind Power Project, marking a key step in the implementation of the renewable energy project.

The company said the Letter of Award was issued on 14 January 2026, following approvals from the Cabinet Appointed Negotiating Committee, the Cabinet of Ministers, and the Public Utilities Commission of

Sri Lanka.

WindForce said the award relates to Lot 1 of the Mullikulam project, which has a total planned capacity of 50 MW and is part of Sri Lanka’s ongoing expansion of utility-scale renewable energy generation.

Its shares closed Wednesday 20 cents down at Rs. 47.
