Vindhya Weerasekera appointed to RIL Property Board

RIL Property has announced the appointment of legal professional Vindhya Weerasekera to its Board as an Independent Non-Executive Director.

Weerasekera is an Attorney-at-Law and was called to the Bar in 1997. She is a Bachelor of Laws (LLB) Graduate from the University of Colombo. She obtained her Master of Laws (LLM) in International Trade Law from the University of Wales.

She has also obtained a Post Attorney Diploma in Intellectual Property Law from the Sri Lanka Law College in collaboration with the Asia Pacific Institute, Washington DC, USA.

Vindhya began her career as a Junior Lawyer of Dr. K. Kanag-Isvaran, President’s Counsel. She has extensive experience of over 26 years in the legal and corporate sector in senior capacities including a multinational company. Vindhya is presently attached to the Colombo Port City Economic Commission in the capacity of Director Legal and Corporate Affairs of the Commission.

With the latest appointment, the Board of Directors of RIL Property Plc comprises S. G. Wijesinha (Chairman), L. E. M. Yaseen, L.K.A.H. Fernando (CEO/Executive Director), C.G. Ranasinghe, Prof. N.D. Gunawardena, C.R. Kariyawasam, Coralie Pietersz and V. Weerasekera.
