Vidusha Nathavitharana, an internationally acclaimed leadership trainer, HR consultant and bestselling author, once again demonstrated his ability to engage and inspire senior corporate audiences, this time delivering a compelling session on “Collective Leadership” to the leadership team of International Distillers Ltd. (IDL), one of Sri Lanka’s leading beverage manufacturers. The lecture, held at IDL’s Kaduwela Plant on 22 June 2026, formed part of the company’s prestigious Guest Lecture Series, underscoring the calibre of thought leadership Nathavitharana continues to bring to organisations across the region.

The session was attended by IDL Deputy Chairperson Indhu Selvaratnam, members of the senior leadership team and the wider management team, a testament to the strong demand among Sri Lanka’s corporate leadership for the insights Nathavitharana offers.

Drawing on his extensive global experience, Nathavitharana shared practical, real-world insights on how organisations can unlock higher levels of performance by fostering collaboration, shared accountability, trust and collective decision-making. He addressed the challenges faced by modern organisations with characteristic clarity, emphasising that sustainable success is increasingly dependent on leaders’ ability to move beyond individual excellence and cultivate environments where teams think, act and succeed together. His presentation resonated strongly with participants, offering valuable perspectives on building cohesive, agile and high-performing teams in an evolving business landscape, and once again affirming his reputation as one of the region’s most sought-after voices on leadership and organisational development.

Commenting on the impact of the session, IDL Chief Executive Officer Janek Jayasekara said: “Leadership today is no longer defined by individual brilliance alone; it is shaped by how effectively our teams collaborate, trust one another and move towards shared goals. Vidusha’s session on Collective Leadership reaffirmed something we deeply believe in at IDL: that sustainable growth comes from empowering our people to lead together, not in isolation. We are grateful for the depth of insight he brought to our leadership team, and we remain firmly committed to providing our leaders with platforms such as this, as we continue building an organisation that is agile, resilient and future ready.”

IDL’s engagement of Nathavitharana for its Guest Lecture Series reflects the strong impression he continues to make on organisations he works with, and reinforces his standing as a trusted partner for companies seeking to strengthen leadership capability through contemporary management thinking and global best practice.
