Swisstek appoints Indika Ilukkumbura to Board

Swisstek (Ceylon) PLC has appointed Indika Ilukkumbura to its Board as a Non-Independent Non-Executive Director.

Ilukkumbura is a financial professional with over 18 years of experience in finance, audit, compliance, and strategic leadership across diversified sectors including manufacturing, tourism, plantations, transportation, and conglomerates.

He currently serves as the Group Chief Financial Officer of the Unidil Group and has been heading the finance department since 2017.

A key milestone in his tenure at the Unidil Group was his lead role in the successful acquisition of a foreign company, where he was responsible for financial due diligence, valuation, funding structuring, regulatory compliance, and post-acquisition financial integration. This project significantly strengthened the Group’s international footprint.

Prior to joining the Unidil Group, he served as the Finance Manager at Mackinnons Travels Ltd., a fully owned subsidiary of John Keells Holdings PLC.

Earlier in his career, he was associated with Ernst & Young, progressing from Audit Trainee to Assistant Manager, and gained extensive exposure to audit and assurance services for large and complex organizations, including listed entities. His experience includes working with international accounting and auditing standards, regulatory frameworks, and ERP systems such as SAP and MS Navision.

He is a Fellow Chartered Accountant (FCA) of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Sri Lanka (ICASL) and a Member of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA – Global). He is also a Member of the Institute of Chartered Professional Managers of Sri Lanka (MCPM).

He holds an MBA from the Postgraduate Institute of Management (PIM), University of Sri Jayewardenepura, and a BSc in Business Management (Second Upper Class) from the Rajarata University of Sri Lanka. In addition, he is a Certified TPM Practitioner.
