A seminar and workshop on “Sustainability Reporting for Corporates” organised by Corporate Legal Consultants will be held on 26 March 2026 from 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at the Victorian Hall, The Kingsbury Hotel.
The seminar is designed specifically to equip Directors and Senior Executives with a clear understanding of their responsibilities under SLFRS S1 and S2, including forward-looking disclosure requirements and climate-related financial implications.
A spokesman said effective 1 January 2026, all companies listed on the Colombo Stock Exchange’s Main Board must adopt Sustainability Reporting in line with SLFRS S1 and S2. This marks a significant shift in governance expectations, elevating sustainability disclosures to board-level accountability.

The seminar is useful for Directors and Members of Audit, Sustainability and Risk Committees; Compliance Officers and Registered Company Secretaries; Facility Managers and Sustainability Officers; and Energy Professionals and Engineers.
The session will feature insights from senior regulatory and finance professionals, along with sustainability experts, providing both governance and technical perspectives.
