Sri Lanka has sent its largest-ever business delegation to the United States for the SelectUSA investment summit, with 14 entrepreneurs and business leaders currently engaging with partners and investors.
The US Embassy in Sri Lanka, in a statement on X, said: “This year is the largest-ever Sri Lankan delegation to #SelectUSA—14 entrepreneurs and business leaders are in the US right now building networks, exploring investment opportunities, and driving shared prosperity for a stronger US–Sri Lanka economic partnership”.
The engagement is centred on forming commercial linkages and identifying opportunities across multiple sectors.
“Sri Lankan businesses are investing in a more open and prosperous future by looking to the US at #SelectUSA! The United States and Sri Lanka are deepening business ties across the healthcare, manufacturing, and digital services sectors - and more - to capitalise on emerging opportunities for economic growth and partnership”.
The SelectUSA Investment Summit, organised by the US Department of Commerce, promotes foreign direct investment into the United States and connects global companies with potential partners and regional economic bodies.
