Sri Lanka Trade, Investment and Tourism Promotional Event successfully held in Mumbai

The Consulate General of Sri Lanka in Mumbai, together with the Trans Asian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (TACCI), organised a Sri Lanka Trade, Investment and Tourism Promotional Event on 23 April at the Royal Bombay Yacht Club.

The Trans Asian Chamber of Commerce and Industry has connections with 70 countries and over 1,200 members since 1999. TACCI facilitates delegations and offers business promotions and global opportunities. 

TACCI Founder Sanjay Bhide, introduced the committee members of TACCI and expressed potential collaboration with Sri Lanka in the field of Trade, Investment and Tourism. In his remarks, the Guest of Honour, the Officer on Special Duty to the Minister of Protocol highlighted the importance of Sri Lanka’s collaboration with India. The event was attended by TACCI Members and the Sri Lankan community in Mumbai.  

Acting Consul General of Sri Lanka Shirani Ariarathne delivered a presentation on Sri Lanka’s business and investment opportunities and tourism prospects at the event.

All the participants showed their keen interest in engaging with Sri Lanka in the areas of trade, investment and tourism. 

Indian companies attended the networking session engaged in discussions for mutual growth and reinforced the commitment to enhancing cross-border business opportunities. 

The “Knights” band, who participated in the ‘Battle of the Bands – International’ competition at the World Audio Visual Entertainment Summit (WAVES) 2025 and secured the first runner-up position, performed at the TACCI event and graced the occasion. 

The event concluded with a networking dinner.
