Sri Lanka Pavilion at Muscat Festival promotes tourism and goods

A Sri Lanka Pavilion promoting Sri Lanka as a tourist destination for Omani holiday makers and 10 stalls displaying Sri Lankan jewellery, cosmetics, batik and other designer clothing, Sri Lanka tea, spices, and traditional food was opened today by Charge d’ Affaires of the Sri Lanka Embassy Maxwell Keegel at the Qurum Park in Muscat. 

The Sri Lanka Pavilion was organised by the Sri Lanka Embassy with the participation from Sri Lankan companies.  The festival will also feature cultural performances by a Sri Lankan dance troupes in the main festival arena and a fashion show depicting Sri Lankan ethnic wear and batik designer collections.

The month-long Muscat Festival which opened on 1 January 2026 is Oman’s biggest tourism and cultural festival.  The festival drew over 4 million visitors last year.  The festival attracts visitors from other GCC countries as well as the international community based in Oman.
