South Asia’s premier textile, garment manufacturing platform gets underway

Intex–InMac Sri Lanka 2026 at BMICH

Intex–InMac Sri Lanka, South Asia’s premier international textile sourcing and garment manufacturing technology exhibition, was officially inaugurated yesterday by Industry and Entrepreneurship Development Minister Sunil Handunnetti.

Held at the BMICH, the event was attended by Industrial Development Board (IDB) Chairman Yasas Hewage, Joint Apparel Association Forum (JAAF) Chairman Felix Fernando, senior Government officials, ambassadors, industry leaders, representatives of business chambers and trade associations, exhibitors, and international buyer delegations.

Following the inauguration, the dignitaries toured the exhibition halls and officially opened the Incredible Textiles of India Pavilion, one of the major international attractions of this year’s exhibition, showcasing India’s diverse textile capabilities and innovations.

Held from 5–7 August 2026, Intex–InMac Sri Lanka brings together over 250 exhibitors from more than 15 countries and regions.

While Intex showcases apparel fabrics, cotton, polyester, blended, knitted and woven fabrics, denim, linen and rayon fabrics, yarns and fibres, interlinings, sewing and embroidery threads, zippers, labels, garment accessories, textile printing inks, dyes, chemicals, digital textile printing solutions, and textile machinery accessories, InMac presents garment machinery and equipment, sewing, overlock and flatlock machines, cutting machines, digital textile printing and DTG solutions, dyeing and bleaching machines, commercial laundry equipment, spinning and winding machinery, heat press machines, screen printing equipment, textile machinery parts and accessories, and automation solutions for garment manufacturing.
