Singer Finance (Lanka) PLC has appointed Jonathan Alles as Chairman of the Board, following the conclusion of Aravinda Perera’s tenure as Chairman.

Alles, who joined the Board of Singer Finance in March 2026, brings more than 37 years of experience in banking and financial services to the role. He has held senior positions with leading international banking institutions including HSBC, the British Bank of the Middle East, Saudi British Bank and the National Bank of Abu Dhabi.

A recognised leader in the financial services sector, Alles has also held several prominent industry leadership positions, including Chairman of the Sri Lanka Banks Association and the Asian Bankers Association, and has served on the boards of a number of leading corporates and financial institutions. He currently serves on the boards of Hayleys PLC, Singer (Sri Lanka) PLC, Vallibel One PLC, Lion Brewery Ceylon PLC, Ceylon Beverage Holdings PLC, United Motors Lanka PLC, Alumex PLC, The Kingsbury PLC and Laugfs Holdings Ltd.

The company acknowledges Aravinda Perera’s contribution and leadership during his tenure as Chairman, under which Singer Finance continued to strengthen its position and advance its growth journey.
