Seminar on pros and cons of Port City postponed to 1 June

The determination of the Supreme Court on the Port City Colombo was due to be tabled in Parliament 18 May, which will be debated, approved and then have the force of law. Hence the scheduled webinar to be held on 18 May has now been postponed to 1 June to provide an opportunity to deliberate on the latest updates on the laws and regulations that will impact the operation of the Port City Colombo.

The rescheduled webinar will be held on 1 June from 2 p.m. – 5 p.m., relayed live from the Port City via Zoom.

The seminar is sponsored by CHEC Colombo Port City Ltd. A high-powered five to seven member Colombo Port City Economic Commission with adequate powers at its disposal will function as a Single Window Investment Facilitator in relation to the grant of any registration, license, authorisation or approval for business entities in the Special Economic Zone (SEZ).
