Saman Doranegama appointed CEO of Namunukula Plantations

Namunukula Plantations PLC has appointed Saman Doranegama as its new Chief Executive Officer.

With over 30 years of experience in the plantation industry, Doranegama has developed extensive expertise in estate management.

A past pupil of St. Anthony’s College, Katugastota, he began his career in 1986 as a Trainee Planter at Fernlands Estate under the Janatha Estate Development Board. In 1994, he was appointed Assistant Superintendent at the Diayagama East Estate in the Agarapathana region and later served at Labukelle Estate, Nuwara Eliya. He went on to become Superintendent of Lethenty Estate.

Doranegama joined Kegalle Plantations PLC in 2001 as Superintendent of Doteloya Estate and later transferred to Luckyland Estate in 2006, where he was promoted to Group Manager and subsequently General Manager in 2014. He was elevated to Director of Operations in 2019.

He has now been appointed Acting CEO of Namunukula Plantations PLC, in addition to his current role as CEO of Kegalle Plantations PLC.
